Back to.....

the ol' grindstone! Today was our first day back to the working world after a wonderful 3 months of vacation (at least for me, Jeremy actually did work!:) I know you non-teachers are thinking how spoiled we are by our long breaks and multiple holiday vacations! We are really blessed so I won't complain too much about how tired I am today!:)

Parker was excited to back to Ann's and see his "best friend" Ayden. I told him I was going to be sooo sad this morning taking him to Ann's house and that I was going to miss him. Parker replied, "It's okay Mommy, I'll be back soon." :) He was not soooo sad that he was going to spend the day without me and with his friends....although I got a huge hug and kiss when I came to pick him up.

We attend a very large church in downtown Peoria and Parker just moved up from the nursery to the 3 year old class. The pre-kinder classes are set up by having a 3 year old class, 4 year, old class, and 5 year old class. That is one nice thing about our big church, Parker gets to learn and play with just 3 year olds for the morning. Yesterday he learned about being a fisher of men. I asked Parker, "What does it mean to be a fisher of men?" He replied with, "Luke 5:10!" It was so cute and sweet to here him recite a Bible verse. That was all he could tell me about being a fisher of men but at least he got the chapter and verse right!:)

Lastly, I am nearing the end of my first trimester and hopefully all the nausea that came with it. I heard the heartbeat with the Doppler last week so that was encouraging. We are continuing to pray for an easy, uncomplicated pregnany. Parker wants a sister now, he keeps changing his mind.:)

Here are some pics of our last official day of summer vacation, just hanging out....

We are......

expecting baby number 2 on March 10th. Obviously, we are very excited! We got to hear the heartbeat last week-awesome:) Parker will be a great big brother, he loves babies! He adores cousin Gabby and our neighbor baby, Claire. I am feeling all of the first trimester symptoms but it is well worth it in the end! Please pray for a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby!:)

(By the way---I don't quite look like this, yet! Thank goodness:)

Love, Hilary

We had a little b-day party for Parker on vacation. Mom and I made a dinosaur icecream cake. I was all set to decorate it but then Parker wanted to have the honors. So....it didn't look like a dinosaur but it tasted yuummy! We had a small cake last night and celebrated with my g-ma Barb and g-pa Dick and my parents. I think the parites are over!:)

vaCaTiOn piCs

We had an AWESOME time on our vacation. We had beautiful weather, low 80's and only one rainy day. We took lots of walks, played on the beach all day and enjoyed time with family in the evenings. Jeremy's extended family has been going up to Pentwater, Mich. for decades so it is a ncie family tradition.

Parker enjoyed playing with his cousin's Waylon and Nellie and with his "big friends" Uncle Erik, Uncle Evan, Uncle Ethan, Uncle Paul, Aunt Carrie, and Aunt Melissa. He was also fortunate enough to have both sets of grandparents for the trip ths year. My parents came along and stayed in our cabin because Jeremy's sister and hubby couldn't make it and his brother and his wife were are in Europe on vacation. So we had room in our cabin for my parents to come. It was so fun to have them.........

fun times....

We had a BUSY fourth of July weekend. We went to my parents' neighbor's 4th of July party on July 3rd and enjoyed a pettiing zoo, fireworks and face painting. On Friday we went to my friend Bridget's house for a pool party/cook-out and that was a lot of fun. Bridget, your house looks great!:) To top things off on Saturday we went to a party in Bloomington at Jim's house, one of Jeremy's close friends.. It was nice for Jeremy to get to catch up with friends he doesn't see very often and Parker had fun wrestling and playing with Jake, one of Jeremy's friends. Thanks for entertaining Parker, Jake--he talked about his "new friend" on the way home.:) This week will be getting ready to go on vacation. We leave on Satruday for a week to Pentwater Michigan with Jeremy's side of the family. It is always a nice and relaxing time, reading and playing on the beach all day!:) We are all looking forward to it.
