has been a little different these past couple of weeks since giving up the beloved "paci." By the way, there has been no sign of a "paci" at the Melick house for about 12 days now!!!!!!! Yay!! Parker is a little book lover---- but now that he isn't being soothed by his pacifier, we are reading even more during this bedtime routine. He has lots of stalling techniques ......
"Mom, I need to brush my teeth."
"Mom, I need to go potty." (He isn't even potty trained but he shows an interest so he doesn't have to go to sleep)
"Mom, I need to go kiss Daddy."
"Mommy, I need to show Daddy my books."
"Mom, I want the light on."
Unfortunately, it is taking a lot longer for him to fall asleep but we have been CHAMPS with getting rid of the PACI! :):):):):):):):)

uuummmmmmm Jeremy and I haven't been bowling in a couple of years! We went last night with some friends ( Kristin, Pat, Annie-Steve was sick:(, Les, and John)and had a great time. Jeremy is actually a pretty good bowler....I learned something new about him last night!:):)he-he.Oh and Annie is acutally a pretty good hula-hooper.........I learned something new about her last night:):)

Here are some pics of Parker wearing my sunglasses. He actually wore them all the way home from Peoria because the sun was in his face. I told him we'd go to Wal-Mart and get him some for the car. We stopped by Wal-Mart yesterday after his gymnastics class at Jump Start and he picked some Diego sunglasses out.

I FORGOT TO MENTION IN MY PREVIOUS BLOG ENTRY THAT WE ARE DONE WITH THE "PACI"! JEREMY, PARKER AND I WERE AT JER'S PARENTS OVER THE WEEKEND AND PARKER BIT THROUGH HIS PACI. SO.......WE DECIDE TO CUT THE PACI YESTERDAY WHEN WE GOT HOME AND HAD PARKER THROW IT AWAY IN THE GARBAGE. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO CRY.....REALLY I DID!!!!!!!!I WAS SOOOOO SAD FOR HIM, ESPECIALLY AT BEDTIME!!! IT TOOK AWHILE FOR HIM TO GO TO SLEEP WITHOUT IT AND WE HAD TO READ LOTS OF EXTRA BOOKS TO RELAX HIM BEFORE BED. HE HAD HIS NAP TODAY WITHOUT IT, TOO. YES, IT IS FINALLY GONE AND I AM SORT OF SAD:( I GUESS I WAS ATTACHED TO IT TOO!!

Parker likes to stand under my feet while I'm getting ready in the bathroom....Does anyone else have this problem at home? He goes through my make-up bag, brushes his teeth, looks through my stuff on the shelf and is now into putting my glasses on. FOr some reason Dad is never around during this time when I'm trying to blow dry my hair, etc.......hmm??? He doesn't get to wear my glasses very long but it is sort of funny:)

As you can see I am learning how to change the background on my blog template. I started messing around with the html yesterday and figured it out....sort of. i left the computer, frustrated for several hours and had a few epiphany's :):):) I think I just needed all of the steps to run through my mind a few times and when I went back, I figured it out. This makes me soooo happy!:) I am positive this is not my final blog template as I am practicing and look forward to adding new digital paper to my collection so I can switch it up. If any of you are interested in trying, go to the link on my blog, SJH and there are awesome directions there. I will warn you though, once you start you will not want to give up until you figure it out!:) he-he

Hello. Is it just me or is anyone else REALLY tired of WINTER weather??!! I really enjoy living where we can experience four seasons but I think winter is a little too long.:) We are all getting a little stir crazy at our house! Here are some pics of Parker being super silly, thinking he is hilarious because he is wearing Jeremy's belt.

Hi! I think everyone is on the mend at our house.......thank goodness! Jeremy and Parker were hit hard with their strep throat and the flu........thankfully i only got a scratchy throat and a minor cold, nothing compared to what they endured.:( We decided to stay in most of the weekend to rest and make sure everyone was healthy for Monday morning. We had a "game night" on Friday night, as you can tell we all look a little ragged and tired.......Jeremy was LOVING that I was taking pictures of us(j/k--he wasn't in the mood for "cheese":) Parker has his own set of games but he wanted to drag games from the grown-up game closet. We picked Trouble and Jenga because we thought maybe he could attempt to play them. He really liked knocking the Jenga blocks down and picking them up with "big guy" (in his hand in one of the pics) and putting them in his dump truck. He lost interest during Trouble but liked playing with all of the colored game pieces...Jeremy and i tried to finish a game while Parker was pretending his blue game pieces were getting eaten by dinosaurs.

So do you all remember this CHUBBY BUBBY??? I was uploading some pics today and started looking back at old pics...........boy, do I miss those squishy cheeks of Parker's!!! We are having our first "snow day" today............Yeah!!! Also, everyone is finally feeling better at my house.....yeah!! again. I did some major cleaning this morning to get rid of all those germs!
