If you haven't

read these books, you have to! They are called The Redemption Series by Karen Kingsbury. I am in love with this series. I am not a crier by nature, I can go months without crying, but these books can make me cry.......or at least bring tears to my eyes! The books are about a tight knit family (The Baxters) that go through the same struggles as most families--easy to relate to. The thing that I love is that they are purely entertaining but have some scripture woven through too. YOU HAVE TO READ THEM.....soooooo good:)

Photobucket
not only one, but TWO PACI'S today! He came into the bedroom where I was on the computer and showed me the blue one. He said, "Mommy, Look! A blue Paci! This is Joey's paci (Joey Bosch---He didn't think it could be his since we threw his in the garbage can:). Can I have it, Mommy?" Before I could answer him he ran from me and plopped himself on the couch with the paci in his mouth.

I HAD to take a picture before I took it away from him. It has been about 2 months with no pacis. I have to admit my heart broke a little when I took it away from him!

SOOOOOOO SADDDDDDDDDDDD. (He got over it quickly!)
Later in the day he found a green paci in the other couch. Jeremy confiscated that one quickly. He is a little more strict than me, he didn't let him put it in his mouth.:)

Emily had her baby girl, Gabrielle Christine (Gabby) on Friday evening. She was 5.5lbs and 18 inches. She is very healthy and Em is doing really well! She got to come home today. Ashton is over the moon with excitement, wanting to feed her, change her, hold her, etc. Parker is determined that she needs her Paci, of course! He thinks all babies need Paci's since he had his up until a few months ago! :)
Mom and I spent a lot of time at the hospital on Saturday. Then to my surprise we ended up having Easter dinner at our house on Sunday. We found out Saturday night that my grandpa was sick so we volunteered to have it our house. So Sat. night Jeremy and I were busy cleaning for 20 guests on Sunday! :) Good excuse to clean, I guess....:)
We had a blessed Easter with family. We are thankful that Jesus dies and rose again for us!:) Parker was so excited to hunt for his Easter eggs in the morning. The bunny left little dinosaurs in the eggs. He still LOVES dinosaurs, we haven't moved on to anything new yet.
Here are some pics of Gabby, moments after being born. She looks so much different even 4 days later...amazing:)

*spring day*

We have been happy to get outside these past couple of weeks. The spring weather is welcoming! It is nice to have the extra hour of daylight and play outside in the evenings. Here are some pics of us enjoying the outdoors last week. Ashton and Parker were having a lot of fun. Speaking of Ashton, he will be be getting a new sister tonight! I am actually headed to the hospital shortly because her c-section is scheduled for 6:30. Please say a prayer for Emily and Gabby, that everything goes well and everyone is healthy! :)

O-R-E-O

It has been awhile since I've posted anything.........just been too busy!! Report card week was last week so I am thrilled that it is over! I know report cards may sound easy in kindergarten but really they are not!!:) I have to assess each student individually and it takes a couple of weeks. Imagine listening to 20 kindergarten kids count to 100, recite the alphabet, the days of the week, the months of the year, etc, etc.............yeah, you get the picture!:)
I had a great Saturday with some friends at Hearts at Home, a mother's conference. It was so positive and uplifting and was wonderful to spend quality time with other mommies!:) While I was gone Jeremy had baseball practice ( He is in the midst of baseball season right now so he is VERY BUSY!) and Parker went to gymnastics with Grandma Bonnie. He got to see the Easter bunny there and show grandma what he can do at gymnastics.:)

Here is a little tune for you.......go ahead, sing it:

Oh, Oh, Oh, ice cold milk
and an Oreo Cookie
They forever go together,
What a classic combination
When a dark, delicious cookie
meets an icy cold sensation
Like the one and only creamy,
crunchy, chocolate, O-R-E-O
