We drove to St. Lous on Sunday morning to stay in a hotel for the night and head to the St. Louis Zoo on Monday. We kept the zoo a surprise from Parker until we walked up to the gate that morning. Parker was thrilled to see all of the animals! He especially loved the exhibit called "DinoRaurus." There were 16 life sized mechanical dinosaurs that spit, moved and made noises. They were really cool. We walked around that special part of the zoo at least 3 times...........we probably could have stayed there all day and Parker would have had a great time.:) We stayed there for about 5 1/2 hours without any meltdowns or complaining. Unfortunately one thing that I fogot to do was charge my camera battery:( It died after about an hour into the zoo...........:( I didn't get any pics with the big animals......oh-well, next time.

Parker is sporting his new summer haircut courtesy of Grandma Debbie. He got a cute little flat top. He has the poofiest hair....just like his Daddy so I think this cut will be easier to tame!:)

Parker had his first swimming lesson today with Miss "E" and Miss "A." There were four other kids in his class. He did really well, thankfully! I was nervous he wouldn't get in since everything was new to him but he warmed up to the teachers just fine. As I was watching him I was thankful it wasn't me in the pool.........it was a beautiful day but a little too chilly for swimming if you ask me! It brought back memories of sitting along the side of the pool at Lake Cal Houn, shivering my hiney off:) Parker's teeth were chattering by the end as he was sitting along the side waiting his turn to jump in---

summer! We are getting settled into our summer routine......staying up late, sleeping in, playing outside, and having fun. We started potty training Parker on Sunday and so far he has done a great job and hasn't worn any diapers in the past four days!:) We have tried a number of times in the last 6 months and he just wasn't ready yet, finally I think we are over the hump!:)
