Blog hiatus.....

My blog is on hiatus this week. Our computer crashed this week so we are looking into getting a new one ASAP. I am going through blog withdraw!

It is my last full day of school today-yeah!:) I have to work in my classroom on Tuesday and then the kids come for an hour on Wed. I am going to miss them a lot, but I'm glad to have a break too.

Catching Up......

It has been awhile since I've posted. Things are busy here. We are wrapping up the school year....yay! I can't wait to be a "stay at home mom" for the summer!!:) Jeremy plans on working construction with his Dad. He likes to stay busy working over the summer. Parker and I have big plans.......his first "big boy" swimming lessons and gymnastics class each week. He is really liking the gymastics. His favorites are the balance beam, trampoline and the huge infalted bouncy mat.

2 slideshows

Slidehow #1-Parker really wanted to splash in the rain puddles today. It is so against his nature......he doesn't really like to get dirty and I couldn't imagine he would like the feel of mud and water in his shoes! He got all pumped up about going outside and jumping in the puddles. As you can see he tried a little puddle first, that is very much like him. He likes to test things, try them out first before he decides whether he likes them. So after a few splashes in the small puddle we went to a bigger, muddier one.:) He took a few steps in and decided the mud between his toes was not for him!

Slideshow #2-Here is a slideshow of pics from this week. There are some of Parker and his beloved dinosaurs:), Gabby, Ashton and Parker; and a few of Waylon, Nellie, and Parker.

My first mini

album. I am so excited about my first scrapbook mini album! It only took about 4-5 hours (broken up) and it was done! I usually only do the 12 by 12 pages when I scrap Parker's milestones, etc., but I thought a mini book would be nice of our vacation last summer. It was a lot of fun and now I'm motivated to do a couple of more because it turned out so *stinkin' cute!* Here a few pics....

The next set of pics are of Parker hanging on Ronald McDonald after gymnastics on Saturday. He actually asked me to take his picture. When we pulled into McDonald's he asked if he could play with his friend Zach. He met Zach at McDonald's last week when he went there with Grandma Bonnie. I guess he and Zach made fast friends and also got their picture taken with Ronald:)

Ashton was over one day last week and I let he and Parker make little pizzas. They got to spread the sauce, put the ham on and then the cheese. They were so cute and followed directions very well.:) Whenever I'm in the kitchen, they are there helping me. They especially like to crack eggs, Ashton is a master egg cracker, Parker not so much, yet:)

If you haven't

read these books, you have to! They are called The Redemption Series by Karen Kingsbury. I am in love with this series. I am not a crier by nature, I can go months without crying, but these books can make me cry.......or at least bring tears to my eyes! The books are about a tight knit family (The Baxters) that go through the same struggles as most families--easy to relate to. The thing that I love is that they are purely entertaining but have some scripture woven through too. YOU HAVE TO READ THEM.....soooooo good:)

not only one, but TWO PACI'S today! He came into the bedroom where I was on the computer and showed me the blue one. He said, "Mommy, Look! A blue Paci! This is Joey's paci (Joey Bosch---He didn't think it could be his since we threw his in the garbage can:). Can I have it, Mommy?" Before I could answer him he ran from me and plopped himself on the couch with the paci in his mouth.

I HAD to take a picture before I took it away from him. It has been about 2 months with no pacis. I have to admit my heart broke a little when I took it away from him!

SOOOOOOO SADDDDDDDDDDDD. (He got over it quickly!)
Later in the day he found a green paci in the other couch. Jeremy confiscated that one quickly. He is a little more strict than me, he didn't let him put it in his mouth.:)

Emily had her baby girl, Gabrielle Christine (Gabby) on Friday evening. She was 5.5lbs and 18 inches. She is very healthy and Em is doing really well! She got to come home today. Ashton is over the moon with excitement, wanting to feed her, change her, hold her, etc. Parker is determined that she needs her Paci, of course! He thinks all babies need Paci's since he had his up until a few months ago! :)
Mom and I spent a lot of time at the hospital on Saturday. Then to my surprise we ended up having Easter dinner at our house on Sunday. We found out Saturday night that my grandpa was sick so we volunteered to have it our house. So Sat. night Jeremy and I were busy cleaning for 20 guests on Sunday! :) Good excuse to clean, I guess....:)
We had a blessed Easter with family. We are thankful that Jesus dies and rose again for us!:) Parker was so excited to hunt for his Easter eggs in the morning. The bunny left little dinosaurs in the eggs. He still LOVES dinosaurs, we haven't moved on to anything new yet.
Here are some pics of Gabby, moments after being born. She looks so much different even 4 days later...amazing:)
